Bio

Jordani & The Sun Kings is an indie soul pop band based in Seattle/Tacoma, Washington.  Their nostalgic grooves, catchy pop melodies, and experienced musicianship combine to create songs simultaneously drenched in feel-good vibes and honest, vulnerable lyricism.

Birthed in the recording studio, the band began as a solo recording project of songwriter/producer, Jordani Sarreal.  From the touring band of neo-soul artist, Dwele, came the rhythm section: Benji Demps on drums and Noe Rodriguez on bass.  Max Watters on guitar was a new addition as well, having played with Jordani in other bands previously (Ethan Tucker, Stephanie Anne Johnson).  It was quickly realized that this line-up of musicians was more than a backing band, but a complete package of musical chemistry, drawing inspiration from each member's musical backgrounds. From R&B, Soul, Gospel, Jazz, and Pop, their songs are genre-defying entities that are created purely for the story of the song.

Within their first year, Jordani & The Sun Kings toured the West Coast, released a Live Album, debuted a single and starred in Antares's national ad campaign, and played dozens of sold out shows in the region.   Currently, they are working on a studio album to be released in the Fall of 2019, supported by a national tour in Spring 2020.  As their sound and musical stylings slowly evolve, their core remains the same: music that makes you feel.
